President of Neoteric Elevator Concepts, Ron Rucker has 30-plus years in the elevator industry. He grew up in his father’s family business, E.P. Rucker Contracting, Inc. In 1989, he became president of the business and began specializing in hoistway construction and becoming more involved in the elevator industry. In 2005, Progressive Elevators, Inc. was founded. The sale of that company has led to new and exciting endeavors as Neoteric Elevator Concepts opens its location in a place with significant family and community history - Clendenin, West Virginia. The small town is on its way to rebuilding after the 2016 flooding, and NEC is happy to be a part of the revitalization.
Ron holds a West Virginia and Kentucky elevator mechanic’s license, and a CAT-S (Certified Accessibility Technician – Supervisor) certification from the National Association of Elevator Contractors. He is actively involved in the elevator industry, having served in various capacities, and is currently serving on the NAEC’s Accessibility and Residential Elevator Committee and on the board of AEMA (Accessibility Equipment Manufacturers Association).
Ron’s building and remodeling background, particularly hoistway construction, enables him to use his skill and knowledge to assist clients with design placement options. He has a thorough understanding of the WV Elevator Safety Code, as well as ASME A17.1 and A18.1 Safety Codes, and how they apply to a client’s specific needs.
Whether your facility or home is in need of a new elevator or lift, or modernizing an existing one, NEC will work closely with your architect or builder to assist in the planning. With a background in construction, NEC also offers a turnkey package that includes hoistway construction.
Every project is unique, and Neoteric Elevator Concepts understands the increased need for accessing multiple floors safely and with the latest technology. Contact NEC to discuss key considerations for historic preservation, local building and elevator code requirements, electrical needs, and ADA compliance for your home or public building space.
